Communities in Schools-McKean
What is CIS at McKean?
Communities in Schools of Delaware Inc. has been a part of the McKean Family for 17 years! The purpose of the CIS program is to assist Thomas McKean students with successfully complete their academics and graduate high school by focusing on building relationships with the students while assisting students to break barriers in their life that may impact their commitment to their studies. CIS programs focus on not only academic support but college and career readiness as well through direct exposure to colleges and career paths. CIS classrooms and offices are located in D12 and B41. Please see the attached impact report for more details on how CIS is making a difference!
Also at McKean high school we teach the Credit Recovery Ed. Options class. In the Ed. Options classroom we advise and help students focus and make up the credits in the classes that they have failed during previous school years.
